Frequently asked

How do I add the widget?

Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap the + button at the top left, type Soon in the search field and pick a size.

To choose which countdown appears, touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget. For countdowns to appear in the list you need to have created at least one in the app.

The widget is not updating

The widget refreshes itself when you edit a countdown, but iOS schedules widget refreshes on its own terms; it can lag by a few minutes.

If it never updates, try opening and closing the app once, and failing that remove the widget and add it again.

A countdown says “Date not announced yet”

It means the institution has not yet announced the next date for that exam. Rather than showing a date that has already passed, we say so plainly.

Until the date is announced you cannot start a countdown from that ready-made entry. When it is announced the catalogue updates itself and the countdown becomes available.

If you would rather not wait, you can create a countdown by entering the date yourself.

What happens if an exam date changes?

We watch the calendar regularly. When a date changes the app notices, sends you a notification and asks whether you want to move your countdown to the new date.

The decision is yours: the countdown belongs to you and we do not change it behind your back. If you choose to keep it, you will not be asked again — unless the date changes once more.

⚠️ Dates in the app are for information. Confirm the date on the institution’s official page before sitting an exam.

The day I was counting to has passed — what now?

If it is a day that recurs each year (holidays, exams), the app finds the next date and asks whether you want to set your countdown to it.

If it was a date you entered yourself, the countdown stands as completed; you can close it from the evaluation screen and turn the photos you collected into a collage.

Reminders are not arriving

First make sure notifications are allowed under Settings → Notifications → Soon.

If Focus or Do Not Disturb is on, the notification may have been silenced.

Notifications are scheduled on your device so no internet is needed; but deleting a countdown also cancels its reminders.

My streak broke — can I get it back?

You get one grace skip a week: miss a day and the streak holds, using that allowance.

If you already used it that week and skip another day, the streak resets. You cannot check in for a past day; the point of a streak is actually showing up each day.

I paid but Pro did not unlock

Tap Restore purchases on the purchase screen or in Settings. If the payment went through, this unlocks it.

If it still does not, email us with the date of the purchase and we will look into it together.

How do I unlock Pro on another device?

Install the app on a device signed in to the same store account and tap Restore purchases.

Pro is a one-time purchase; you do not pay a second time.

Where are my photos stored?

A copy of each photo you add is kept in the app’s own folder, on your device only. It is never uploaded anywhere.

The consequence: if you delete the app those photos go with it, and we cannot bring them back.

How do I delete my data?

Settings → Reset all data deletes your countdowns, check-in history, moods and memories in one step. It cannot be undone.

Removing the app from your device has the same effect.

Can I change the app’s language or country?

Yes. Language, appearance and country can all be changed under Settings. The country setting decides which public holidays are listed.

On first launch both come from your device settings.
