Privacy Policy
The short version: Soon has no accounts, your countdowns and photos never leave your device, and we do not track you. The app does reach the internet in a few places, and every one of them is listed below.
Who we are
Soon is a mobile app built by Koal Studios. For the limited processing described here, Koal Studios is the data controller.

Beyond this, no data is collected: no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, no location, no contacts, no account.
We do not have your countdowns or photos
The countdowns you create, the check-ins you make, the notes you write, the moods you log and the photos you add are held only in your own device’s storage. This data is not sent to us or to anyone else; we have no server to keep it on.
The consequence is simple: we cannot see your data, cannot recover it and cannot delete it on your behalf. If you delete the app, that data goes with it.
We do not ask for an account
You do not need to register to use Soon. We do not ask for a name, an email address, a phone number or a password. No such record is ever created.
Photos and the camera
If you want to add a photo to a day, the app asks for permission to reach your library or camera. We ask at the moment you start it and never reach them in the background.
A copy of the photo you pick is placed in the app’s own folder and stays there. It is not uploaded, not shared, not processed. We do not read the rest of your library.
If you save a memory collage to your library, a separate save permission is requested. That also runs only when you tap it.
If you decline, the rest of the app works normally; only adding photos stays off.
Where the app reaches the internet
Soon connects to four places. All four are below; no request goes anywhere else.
- The ready-made catalogue. Exam dates and special days are read from the internet so they stay current. This request only downloads a file; it sends us nothing about you.
- Public holidays. To list holidays in your country, a request goes to `date.nager.at` carrying your country code (for example `TR`). The country comes from your device and you can change it in settings. Your name, identity and location are not sent.
- Purchases. If you buy or restore Pro, verification runs through RevenueCat.
- App updates. On launch the app checks whether a newer version exists. That check also only downloads a file.
As with any internet request, the receiving server sees your IP address. That is how the internet works, not data we collect.
The app also works offline. Without a connection it uses the catalogue shipped inside the app; your countdowns, check-ins and photos are offline already.
The only data we collect: purchases
If you buy Pro, payment is taken by Apple or Google; your card details never reach us and we cannot see them.
We verify whether a purchase is valid through RevenueCat. For that, purchase history, a device identifier and a randomly generated anonymous user id are sent to RevenueCat. That id is not linked to your name, email or phone number, and we hold no such information either.
The purpose is single: keeping what you bought unlocked, and letting you restore it when you change device.
Notifications
Reminders and streak warnings are scheduled on your device. We have no server for this and send no remote notifications.
If you decline notifications the app keeps working; you simply do not get reminders.
Widget
To show its countdown, the Home Screen widget shares data with the app on the same device. That sharing uses the operating system’s own mechanism and stays inside the device; nothing goes out.
No analytics, no advertising, no cookies
The app contains no analytics tool, no crash reporting tool and no advertising network. We do not read the advertising identifier, do not ask for tracking permission (ATT) and do not build profiles.
No cookies are used inside the app.

Data on your device stays there until you delete it. The purchase record at RevenueCat is kept until you ask for its deletion.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Türkiye’s KVKK you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and object to the processing of your data.
Because the app’s data is only ever on your device, you can exercise most of these rights without asking us: delete it inside the app, or remove the app.
For anything about the purchase record, write to info@koalstudios.com; we reply within 30 days at the latest.
You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Soon is not directed at children and collects no age information. Since it collects no personal data at all, it collects none from a child either.
Deleting your data
Inside the app, Settings → Reset all data deletes your countdowns, check-in history, moods and memories in one step. It cannot be undone.
Removing the app from your device has the same effect.

If this policy changes
If we update this policy we change the date on this page. If an update materially changes how the app relates to your data, we will say so separately.
